A woman has claimed she was ‘chased’ by a staff member at her gym and told to ‘cover up’.
Kalah, from Tennessee, took to TikTok @kalvance388 to share how she was singled out for her gym attire.
She explained that the gym worker ran after her, demanding she put more clothes on as she apparently ‘wasn’t following the gym dress code.’
Showing a snap of the outfit in question, Kalah was wearing average black gym shorts and a slightly cropped one-shoulder white top.
In the clip she said: ‘This morning at the gym, the lady at the front desk literally ran after me to berate me and say, ‘I don’t know if anyone has told you, but you are not dressed according to dress code and you need to cover up when you come into the gym.’
Kalah, from Tennessee, says she was ‘chased’ by a staff member at her gym and told to ‘cover up’
Showing a snap of her perfectly acceptable outfit, she added: ‘I will cut in here with what I was wearing, as you can see, I was not wearing anything inappropriate, I was very well covered up, I literally had a sliver of skin across my midriff showing my stomach.’
The fitness fanatic compared her attire to the outfits of others in the fitness centre, including one woman who was wearing a similar ensemble, and Kalah asked if she would also be getting reprimanded.
Kalah said: ‘Did you say something to her? Or what about all the guys that come in with their shirt cut essentially to show their entire t**** and the entire sides out – are you saying something to them?
‘At this point I think I am targeted and I don’t really know how to handle the situation because she was like it’s dress code. I understand there are rules at place in a gym but also are you talking to the people who are slamming their weights down?
‘Are you talking to the people who don’t put their weights up because you have signs posted all over this gym, but I haven’t seen one mention of dress code.
‘Number one, show me the dress code, I want to see what is it, two keep that energy with everyone else who walks past this desk.
‘Because I have seen girls working out in sports bras, I have seen girls working out in all sorts of things. Don’t come to me acting like I’ve got my t***** out, I’ve got my a** out when that’s just not the case.’

One person said: ‘Girl ask for the dress code and talk to the manager if it happens again because if not everyone is being talked to then it is a problem.’
Another said: ‘I’d go full karen. ur just in a workout set???? ur outfit was so cute and u looked great in it. absolutely no reason for her to say that.’
Someone else wrote: ‘I’d just ask for dress code document and speak to a higher up. Because u could wear that to grocery store and no one would blink an eye.’
A fourth wrote: ‘What are we in middle school again? You look so cute’ To which kalah replied: ‘Right. Like am I being a ‘distraction?’
