Legendary eighties rock band reunite for new tour – under completely different name | The Sun
AN iconic eighties pop band reunite on tour next month after their bitter split.
The Bradford born band will be making their on-stage appearance on November 9th, commencing in Sheffield and then venturing through cities such as Manchester, London, Bournemouth, and Birmingham.
Formerly recognised as The Cult, the band has now rebranded themselves as Death Cult and is poised for a band revival.
Their well-known tracks include She Sells Sanctuary, Fire Woman,Rain, and Love Removal Machine.
These songs have left a significant mark on the band's discography and are often considered their most iconic hits.
In 1991, tensions started to surface between the group due to personal matters.

The persistent tension continued for the following four years, a period that saw the release of one more studio album, The Cult, before the band eventually disbanded in 1995.
The group has undergone numerous distinct periods, and they aim to incorporate each of these phases into their upcoming tour.
They said: "The evening, while centered around Death Cult and their eponymous EPs, will boast a setlist that spans the three phases of the band, from Southern Death Cult, to Death Cult, and The Cult’s first two albums: Dreamtime (1984) and Love (1985).
They added that this event will "mark 40 year history."

The group – originally made up of Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy, John Tempesta, Charlie Jones and Mike Mangan – will be returning for "a one-off 12-date tour across the UK and Ireland."
Numerous fans took to Ian's Instagram page to express their enthusiasm and eagerness for the band's upcoming tour.
One fan wrote: "Excited for Manchester."
Another fan added: "Please return to Germany!! But anyway, see you in Manchester next month. So excited!!"
A third fan said: "I will see you in London on 11/22. My wish has come true."
