The BBC has delighted fans by releasing a teaser for the new upcoming series from the mind of Sir Quentin Blake.
Viewers across the UK will enjoy an extra festive treat as the first two specials of Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures, Jack and Nancy and Zagazoo, will be aired this December.
The first episode of the series sees the illustrator’s characters, Jack and Nancy, brought to life with traditional hand-drawn animation techniques using a similar style to Sir Quentin’s drawings.
In the clip shared by the BBC, Jack and Nancy can be seen looking out from a cliff face as they see a ship on the water. Jack points towards the vessel and says: “There’s the ship”, before adding: “Off they go on their adventures.”
“The winds really getting up,” Nancy replies, as Jack opens up his umbrella, and the pair are seen being dragged up into the air.

The narrator can then be heard saying: “And that was that, Jack and Nancy disappeared into the storm and were never seen again. The End.”
Before quickly adding: “I’m kidding, I’m kidding.”
Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures is a full animated series narrated by Adrian Lester, 55, who is best known for starting in BBC crime drama Hustle.

The animated box set of hand-picked specials are based on the six iconic best-selling books, including Jack and Nancy, Zagazoo, Loveykins, Snuff, Angel Pavement and Mrs Armitage on Wheels.
Local Welsh talent will be leading the voice roles in Jack and Nancy, with Shaun of the Dead star Simon Pegg, 53, leading the voice role in Zagazoo.
Zagazoo is based on Sir Quentin’s 1998 picture book about a baby coming in the post.
Simon Pegg will also voice roles in Snuff and Angel Pavement.
Other episodes in the series will see Gavin and Stacey actress Alison Steadman voice the strong-willed Mrs Armitage.
Whilst Nina Sosanya will bring Angela Bowling to life in Loveykins.
Sir Quentin is probably best known for his work with children’s author Roald Dahl. He illustrated his most famous stories, including The Enormous Crocodile Matilda, The BFG and The Twits.
