A Look at the Makeup Zoë Kravitz Wore as Catwoman For "The Batman"

Though we’ve seen quite a few variations of Catwoman over the years, none are quite like Zoë Kravitz’s depiction of the comic book character. Kravitz, who stars alongside Robert Pattinson in “The Batman,” put a modern twist on the fierce feline femme fatale, and she did it with the help of veteran celebrity makeup artist and dame Pat McGrath.

Kravtiz’s Catwoman is dark, alluring, and dangerous, yet at times, she can be soft. Her makeup reflects both of those sides. “Can you imagine what a thrill it was to collaborate with my dearest gorgeous Zoë in creating daringly seductive looks worthy of pop culture’s fiercest feline femme fatale, let alone translating the couture-classic cat-eye into extreme Gotham glamour?” McGrath tells POPSUGAR.

McGrath pulled inspiration from her recent fashion week shows with Prada and Donatella Versace to create the smoldering, smudged graphic eye makeup we see on Kravtiz in the film. Ahead, get a full breakdown of the products used.

Though the eye makeup is the star of the show, McGrath wanted Kravtiz’s skin to shine even in the dark Gotham City night. She used the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation ($68) with the Sublime Perfection Concealer ($32) to create a soft, minimal base. Then, she set with the Sublime Perfection Setting Powder ($38) and used the Highlighter + Balm Duo ($48) to accentuate the high points of her face. On the cheeks, she gave Kravtiz a soft glow with the Skin Fetish: Divine Blush in “Desert Orchid” ($38).

For the statement eye, she first used the Mothership I: Subliminal Palette ($125). Then, for the edgy eyeliner moment, she used a combination of three products. The Perma Gel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in “Xtreme Black” ($28), the Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner ($32), and a brand-new, never-before-seen product that she swears pulled the entire look together: the Bridgerton II Kohl Liner, which launches on March 24 as part of her second collection with the TV series. (We wonder if this is the same product used on Pattinson to create his emo eyeliner moment.)

To finish off the eyes, the Dark Star Volumizing Mascara ($30) was used to create flirty, seductive lashes.

Lastly, for the lips, PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in “Contour” ($28), a beige brown liner, was used to define Kravitz’s lips, followed by the MatteTrance Lipstick in “1995” ($38).
