AJ Pritchard denies Saffron Barker Strictly rumours as he gushes over girlfriend

Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard has firmly denied rumours that something is going on between him and his his dance partner, Saffron Barker ,

The two were coupled together for this year's Strictly, and speculation instantly began that they would spark up a romance.

But AJ, 24, has spoken out about the rumours and confirmed he is not dating the YouTuber, 19.

In fact, AJ is dating someone else, 22-year-old fellow dancer Abbie Quinnen.

And he has gushed over her in a new interview, saying she has completely changed his life.

AJ told OK! Magazine : "Everyone wants to know about my relationship status, but I'm very happy with Abbie.

"It gives me a different outlook on life as I’ve always worked hard, but now I also have a personal life, too.

"Abbie’s brought balance to my life."

The smitten pair look the perfect match in photos together, although Piers Morgan clearly doesn't think so.

Abbie revealed she was "very happy" when the Good Morning Britain presenter said AJ was punching above his weight.

AJ talked about how it felt when Piers asked him and Saffron if they were "at it".

"You know you’re going to be asked certain questions, even when you say you don’t want to answer", he explained.

"When it comes to that sort of thing it doesn’t really bother me because I know who I am, so does Abbie."

Abbie even said that she supports her boyfriend's friendship with Saffron.

"I hope AJ stays friends with her, and I get to know her more", she said.

"They’re so good together."

She added: "As I’m a dancer, too, I understand that things can look a bit dodgy – I have to dance with guys all the time as well."

Meanwhile, AJ called Saffron a "great partner" who is "so hard-working and a genuine fan of Strictly."

He added: "This is probably my favourite year on the show."

AJ has previously been partnered with The Saturday's Mollie King and gymnast Claudia Fragapane.

AJ also lifted the lift on how it felt to no longer be the only famous brother – now that his brother Curtis has shot to fame on Love Island.

Curtis is still dating his partner on the show, Maura Higgins.
