Beatles-Inspired ‘Yesterday’ Coming To Home Video Next Month
Beatles-inspired musical movie Yesterday will release digitally on September 10, while the Blu-ray and DVD versions will drop on September 24.
The Danny Boyle-directed film has grossed more than $125 million worldwide.
Yesterday tells the story of a world where an aspiring musician is only person who remembers the music of the Beatles after a global blackout, and he decides to present their catalog of hits as his own.
The movie features the music of Beatles, including “Yesterday” from Help!, “Let It Be” and “I want To Hold Your Hand.”
Yesterday‘s home video release will feature extensive bonus material, including an alternate ending, gag reel and 12 deleted scenes.
Additionally, live performance videos will showcase the film’s star, Himesh Patel, playing the classic tracks “Yesterday,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Let It Be” at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London.
The home video will also feature a series of documentary shorts focusing on Patel, Ed Sheeran, Kate McKinnon and the friendship between Boyle and screenwriter Richard Curtis.
