Big Brother hosts AJ and Will unsure about Davina McCalls dinner invitation

New Big Brother presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best have opened up about a dinner invitation from original presenter Davina McCall.
Speaking to This Morning at the NTAs, Davina chatted about the rebooted show and said that she would like to go for dinner with the new hosts after they get the first show out of the way, however, it appears that AJ and Will have differing feelings on it.
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press Will said that he, “would absolutely love that.” However, AJ was more reticent saying, “I really don’t know about the dinner”.
Indeed, Will had nothing but complimentary things to say about the Long Lost Family presenter having worked with her in the past. “I worked with Davina years and years ago on Got to Dance,” he revealed.
“When I was doing T4 and she was a host of Got to Dance, it was on Sky and I did the kind of spin-off show.”

“So, I would be interviewing her and all that kind of stuff and on set and I just remember her being the nicest person in the world,” he gushed.
“Like just the whole show had a nice energy because she was so lovely.”
Meanwhile, although she is uncertain about a dinner, AJ is extremely appreciative of Davina’s good wishes.
“It’s just so lovely to have all of the previous presenters actually just be so supportive of me and Will,” she enthused. “It’s really good that we got their seal of approval.
“It’s a show that’s obviously been so important to Davina to Emma Willis to Brian Dowling. It’s been important to so many presenters so it’s really nice that they’re encouraging.”

Davina, who hosted the very first series of Big Brother on Channel 4 in the summer of 2000, went on to front the show until 2010 and has previously spoken about her support for AJ during an appearance on the Chris Moyles Show.
“When I saw AJ and Will at the NTAs – because I wasn’t sure how that was going to work – seeing them together I thought, ‘Oh I get it’,” she said.
“It’s all about the connection, right? I spoke to AJ and I did think it was quite daunting but I wanted to give her my blessing.”
“I know I didn’t need to but I wanted to pass on the baton and talking to her, it’s in safe hands and she knows what a big responsibility it is, and she’s taking it really seriously. Let’s get behind it people,” she encouraged.
ITV has already committed to two series of the new Big Brother one this autumn and the other next year.
Big Brother returns to ITV2 and ITVX on sunday October 8 at 9pm.
