Bon Jovis Its My Life Crosses One Billion Views On YouTube
American rock band Bon Jovi have joined the One-billion club on YouTube after their hit “It’s My Life” crossed a billion views on the video streaming service.
“It’s My Life” was the lead single from the band’s seventh studio album, Crush. It was written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Max Martin, and co-produced by Luke Ebbin.
The song peaked at No. 1 in Austria, Flanders, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Switzerland, while charting within the top 10 across several other countries and peaking at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Although the song was released on May 8, 2000, its video was uploaded to YouTube on June 17, 2009. The clip was directed by Wayne Isham, who had previously directed several other videos for the band, including “In These Arms”, “Bed Of Roses” and “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night.”
Meanwhile, Bon Jovi’s most recent album, 2020, was released last October via Island Records.
