Caroline Flack breaks social media silence with sweet selfies with pet dog Ruby
Caroline Flack has broken her social media silence with a few sweet pictures of her and her dog Ruby.
The former Love Island host has been absent from social media since Christmas Eve when she explained she was advised to stay away from social media ahead of her trial for assault.
The television host shared a few filtered snaps wearing red lipstick and posing her heart out with her dog.
Caroline, 40, simply captioned her post with a heart emoji.
Ever since she was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton back in December 2019, she has kept her head low, even disappearing to Los Angeles for a while.
On 24 December, Caroline shared a picture of herself on the red carpet along with the caption: ‘Been advised not to go on social media … but I wanted to say happy Christmas to everyone who has been so incredibly kind to me this year….. this kind of scrutiny and speculation is a lot to take on for one person to take on their own…
‘I’m a human being at the end of the day and I’m not going to be silenced when I have a story to tell and a life to keep going with ….
‘I’m taking some time out to get feeling better and learn some lessons from situations I’ve got myself into to.I have nothing but love to give and best wishes for everyone.’
Caroline is currently on bail and awaiting trial to begin on 4 March, after she pleaded not guilty to assaulting Lewis.
She is accused of hitting Lewis over the head with a lamp, with Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court hearing a 999 call in which Burton allegedly said: ‘She tried to kill me, mate.’
However, Lewis has denied he was hit with a lamp, writing on his Instagram story after her court hearing: ‘It’s heartbreaking I can’t see my girlfriend over Christmas. What I witnessed today was horrible.
‘She did not hit me with a lamp… Arguments do happen every day in every relationship. Gutted I am not allowed to protect her right now.’
