Cassie & Fiancé Alex Fine Have Their Marriage License — Likely Getting Married Within The Next 90

Wedding bells may be ringing for Cassie and fiancé Alex Fine sooner than expected!

Sources close to the newly engaged couple tell TMZ they have already obtained their marriage license, so it’s not looking like we can expect a lengthy engagement.

As if it wasn’t already fast enough that the Me & U songstress split with Diddy in October, announced her pregnancy in June, and engagement in August, a wedding is likely going down within the next 90 days before the license expires, per California state law.

Insiders also reported to the publication she’ll be taking on his last name, which isn’t a huge surprise considering she used Mrs. Fine in the engagement announcement posts to social media, writing:

“This moment will always be so special to me. I get to marry my best friend in the whole world. How am I so lucky! #mrsfine”

Just one day after celebrating her 33rd birthday on Monday, August 26, the Long Way 2 Go singer announced the happy news of their engagement. The very next day, the couple shared a video documenting the rodeo-themed proposal on both of their Instagram accounts.

In the nearly two-minute clip, Alex — a 26-year-old competitive bull rider — is seen getting ready to pop the big question with an even bigger rock at the Compton Cowboys stable in the desert.

So, how’s Diddy handling all this? Even though he may have suspected his longtime love cheated on him with her personal trainer (apparently hired by Diddy, too!), he congratulated the couple on the baby news with a post on IG in June.

No word yet on how he’s feeling about the engagement, but it might be a bit much to post a second congratulatory post, so we’re not holding our breath he’ll comment publicly! But as we previously reported, a source close to Combs previously told E! News the father-of-six is really happy for his on-again-off-again GF, sharing:

“Diddy wants happiness for Cassie and her new chapter. He wants to be neutral with her, and she will always have a place in his heart.”

The hip-hop mogul has seemingly moved on as well, and has been linked to Steve Harvey‘s 22-year-old daughter Lori Harvey for the past few months, AKA an ex of Diddy’s own 25-year-old son. Can you say MESSY?
