Christine Lampard gushes over Frank’s daughter Isla on 13th birthday and says she’s ‘proud to be her stepmum’

Christine Lampard marked her stepdaughter Isla’s 13th birthday with a loving tribute on Instagram, in which she gushed that she is “proud to be her stepmum”.

The Loose Women star, 41, celebrated Frank’s daughter Isla becoming a teenager with sweet pictures of them throughout the years, as well as their celebrations at home for her birthday.

The first image shows Christine and Isla pouting with a black-and-white make-up filter on, while the second was from Christine and Frank's wedding in 2015, when Luna and Isla were flower girls.

A third snap showed both sisters cuddling up to dad Frank at Christmas, while others showed Isla on the Loose Women and This Morning set.

Christine, who shares one year old daughter Patricia with Frank, wrote: “How are you 13 already @isla.rl what a beautiful young girl you are! I feel very proud to be your step mum. We love you so much and thank you @fondant_fleur_cakes_ for the best cake (not an ad, just showing appreciation).”

Frank is also dad to daughter Luna, 14, with his ex Elen Rivas.

Christine recently opened up on how she and Frank had to take their 20 month old daughter Patricia to the hospital after she developed a high fever and a rash.

Speaking on Loose Women on Friday 8 May, Christine revealed, thankfully, how her little girl is fine, but detailed how the ordeal was “scary”.

She explained: “We were talking about how people weren't taking their children to hospital because people were fearful and I remember thinking on that day "wouldn't that be awful?" And typically last week we ended up in that exact situation.

“Our little one, this will echo with other parents I'm sure, basically woke up with a really high temperature and then your mind goes to some dark places about what this could be.

“But to cut a rather long story short we were told by our GP to go straight to A&E and it was the words I did not want to hear that day.

“I just assumed she would be given an antibiotic or whatever and she'd be fine, but being told you have to go to a hospital by a doctor is always really worrying, isn't it?’”

Christine continued to tell her fellow panellists: “We went anyway and typically only one parent can go in now because of the whole virus, so Frank went home and I went in with her and suddenly felt really alone, you think oh my gosh this is really terrible.

“But of course the doctors and nurses as we all know in the NHS, Chelsea Hospital it was, were fantastic and she had a rash and all the bits are very scary but it all turned out to be fine, and she's great, and as I say I've cut a very long story short.

“But what I'm trying to say is people are feeling anxious about that right now, people hear it in the news "don't take your children to hospital in case", please just do it.”
