Coldplay Share Stripped Down ‘Reimagined’ EP, Short Film
Legendary British band Coldplay released a stripped down Reimagined EP and a short film on Friday.
Both the short film and the stripped back Coldplay: Reimagined are available on Apple Music.
The new EP features stripped back renditions of “Cry Cry Cry,” “BrokEn” and “Champion of the World” from the band’s much acclaimed album, Everyday Life, which rose to No. 7 on the Billboard 200 last year and earned the band its seventh top 10 on the chart.
Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland roped in Rik Simpson, Dan Green and Bill Rahko for the production of the new EP.
The accompanying nine-minute video takes viewers inside the studio, giving them an insight into the recording process.
“Today we tried to strip back some of these songs which were already quite stripped back. We did that by removing two band members,” commented Martin.
The band has decided against touring for Everyday Life due to environmental concerns.
