Curtis Pritchard: ‘A chance’ Love Island star Amy Hart speaks on ‘future’ relationship
Curtis Pritchard, 23, was coupled up with former Love Island 2019 contestant Amy Hart, 27, but left the air hostess devastated when he chose to end their brief relationship. Ahead of tonight’s final, the dumped islander has spoken out about Curtis’ blossoming romance with model Maura Higgins, 28, and has revealed she believes the pair do have a future together. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Amy divulged: “I hope it does have a future. Obviously I left so Curtis could be happy and Maura does make him happy because they do make each other happy. “I think it’s a good basis for a relationship and they both are in similar industries on the outside and their friends are quite similar so it does have a chance of working.”
Amy quit Love Island after she was dumped by professional dancer Curtis.
The former air hostess was left heartbroken after he called time on them being “half-boyfriend and girlfriend.”
In emotional scenes, Amy tearfully gave Curtis a goodbye speech before her departure from the show.
Amy said: “I want you to be happy and you’re not going to be able to be happy if I’m still here.
“We’ve built this amazing friendship. Half of our relationship was that we are best, best friends. But we both need to move on. We both need to find someone that is going to make us as happy as we make them.”
She continued: “You will not be happy here all the time because you we always put me first. And I know you will because you’re such a good person.
“And that’s why I love you so much – so I’m leaving.”
Elsewhere, it has not been all heartache for the former flight attendant as she recently landed a role on ITV daytime show Loose Women.
Speaking ahead of her appearance on the show, Amy said she was “ecstatic” about joining the panel.
She told the publication: “I’m so excited, I’ve been a fan of Loose Women since I was 12.
“It’s my birthday tomorrow so this is the best present ever. I can’t wait to see the ladies next Wednesday.”
Amy made another appearance on the show today when she was joined by regulars Coleen Nolan and Gloria Hunniford.
Meanwhile, the Love Island final will air tonight, with one of the remaining four couples set to take home a £50,000 prize fund.
