Debbie McGee: ‘I will be doing a few’ Strictly star lets slip details about return to show
Debbie McGee, 61, revealed on It Takes Two that she is incredibly excited about her Strictly Christmas return and that she will, of course, be throwing in at least a couple of the high kicks she became beloved for during her original 2017 Strictly stint.
Debbie, widow of magician Paul Daniels, told host Rylan Clark-Neal: “I can’t tell you how excited I am!
“I just feel so lucky. You get to do the series and the tour and you get invited back and then some of my mates are back with me.
“So we are going to have a ball.”
When Rylan asked if she’d be doing the kicks, she replied: “I will be doing a few kicks.

“Can’t go any higher than that in a dress but we don’t know who are partners are…whoever wins it is Christmas isn’t it so we’ve all won!”
Debbie will be joining past competitors Gemma Atkinson, Mark Wright, Richard Arnold, Joe Sugg and Chizzy Akudolu.
She said on her return: “I thought all my dreams came true two years ago when I was asked to do the series, but to be one of the rare people to be invited back to do the Christmas Special is the icing on the cake.
“I can’t wait to be back dancing with my Strictly family.”
Debbie became a fan favourite on Strictly thanks in part to her sultry dance numbers with her dance partner Giovanni Bernice.
Some of their routines were so steamy there were even rumours that they had a Strictly romance, but both parties denied the claims.
They made it to the Strictly final, but were beaten by Joe McFadden and Katya Jones.
Another favourite, Gemma Atkinson, had also excitedly announced her return to the Strictly Christmas special.

Former Emmerdale actress Gemma, 34, is in a relationship with Strictly pro dancer Gorka Marquez, 29, and they welcomed their first child, daughter Mia, this May.
Addressing her return, she said: “I had the absolute best time on Strictly and it completely changed my life so I am absolutely overjoyed to be returning to the dancefloor this Christmas with a new challenge, and of course to be back with the gang!”
She also posted a throwback picture on Instagram from her time on 2017’s Strictly series.
She captioned the snap with: “Yup! The sequins really are going back on for Christmas.

The news comes after her partner Gorka wasn’t paired with a celebrity on this year’s main Strictly.
However, he has still been appearing on the show in the group professional dancer numbers.
Strictly Come Dancing airs this Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.
