Dr Ranj warns trolls as concerns grow over Phillip Schofields mental health
Former This Morning doctor Ranj Singh is begging social media trolls to stop firing abuse at Phillip Schofield. The former Strictly contestant, 43, has expressed concerns that the presenter, 61, could suffer from severe mental health issues as a result of the relentless abuse.
He told the Daily Star: “I never agree with trolling, ever. I don’t think trolling is acceptable.
“I think we have to be careful when we are responding to people that we don’t go too far.
“It’s not an easy place to be for Phillip. And we have to be mindful of that.”
While Ranj wants the abuse to cease, he confessed that he was disappointed over the revelation of Phillip’s affair with a young member of staff.

He added: “I don’t necessarily agree with what’s happening with Phillip and what he’s done. It was inappropriate.”
Schofield has been public about the mental health issues he has suffered as a result of the torrent of abuse, confessing that he does not think he would still be alive if it was not for support from his daughters.
ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall, 61, has said she is “very concerned” about his welfare.
Phillip publicly resigned from ITV last month after admitting he had an “unwise but not illegal” affair, and has avoided the public affair since the scandal emerged.
However on Wednesday (June 21), the father-of-two made his first public appearance to visit his mother in Cornwall for her birthday.

Donning a blue t-shirt and a pair of white linen shorts, the presenter was pictured in a car park looking glum as he held his phone and vape.
Schofield travelled to the south coast to celebrate his dear mum Pat’s 87th birthday.
Despite looking grim-faced, the broadcaster appeared to have caught the sun and had a new haircut, dramatically contrasting his appearance when the scandal broke last month.
After admitting to his extramarital affair, Schofield made a series of shock revelations in a BBC interview with Amol Rajan.
The former This Morning host said in the interview that he debated taking his own life, but was saved by his two daughter, Ruby and Molly.
