Eminem Surprise-Drops New Album, Controversial ‘Darkness’ Video
Eminem on Thursday released by surprise a new album, titled Music to be Murdered By.
The album features guest appearance from the late Juice WRLD, Ed Sheeran, Black Thought, Q-Tip, Royce Da 5’9″, Anderson .Paak and Young M.A.
The much-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Kamikaze consists of 20 songs.
The release of the hip-hop star’s 11th album is accompanied by an anti-gun violence video for the track “Darkness.”
Marshall Mathers, known professionally as Eminem, shared the video on Twitter with the comment, “Hello, Darkness, my old friend.”
It features the 2017 Route 91 Harvest music festival shooting in Las Vegas, in which the gunman and 58 others were killed.
At the end of the video, Eminem shows a montage of U.S. mass shootings with the message, “When will this end? When enough people care.”
