Gerard Piqué Shares First Instagram Photo With Clara Chia Marti After Shakira Split

Following his highly publicized split from Shakira, Gerard Piqué made his romance with Clara Chia Marti Instagram official. On Jan. 25, the 35-year-old former soccer player shared a captionless photo of him cozied up his 23-year-old girlfriend, marking the first time he’s posted her on his social media.

Shakira and Piqué announced their separation after 11 years together in June 2022. In a joint statement to People, the former couple said, “We regret to confirm that we are separating. We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.” Shakira and Piqué share two kids: Milan Piqué Mebarak, 10, and Sasha Piqué Mebarak, 7.

In September 2022, Shakira opened up to Elle about how the dissolution of her marriage affected her. “I’ve remained quiet and just tried to process it all,” the Colombian singer said. “Um, and yeah, it’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so it’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult. I have paparazzi camping outside, in front of my house, 24/7.”

The 45-year-old has turned to her music for healing, releasing a viral diss track with Argentine producer Bizarrap titled “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” or “Out of Your League.” “I wish you good luck with my supposed replacement / I don’t even know what happened to you,” Shakira sings, seemingly addressing Piqué’s relationship with Marti. “You are so strange that I can’t even distinguish you / I’m worth two of 22 / You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded a Rolex for a Casio.” Listen to the song below.
