Harry Styles’ new film has reportedly been plunged into crisis after a crew member tested positive for coronavirus.

Production is said to have halted on Don’t Worry Darling just weeks into filming and Harry and his co-stars Florence Pugh and Chris Pine have reportedly immediately gone into quarantine for 14 days as a safety precaution.

Harry and Chris were both spotted on the set in downtown Los Angeles just hours before it was shut down.

Don’t Worry Darling will be Harry’s second feature film following his widely-acclaimed performance in WWII film Dunkirk back in 2017.

It tells the story of an unhappy housewife in the 1950s whose husband is hiding a dark secret.

Oscar nominee Florence stars as housewife Alice, while Harry will play her seemingly perfect husband Jack.

Routine testing has been carried out on the set of the psychological thriller throughout its production and no one else working on the film is said to have tested positive yet.

Filming began just last month and the movie also stars Humans and Crazy Rich Asians star Gemma Chan.

Harry, 26, signed up for the film last September. He was cast after actor Shia LeBeouf had to depart the film, which is being directed by actress Olivia wilde, who will also star in a supporting role.

Don’t Worry Darling is not the only film that has had to halt filming due to a positive coronavirus test.

The new Batman film was shut down after Robert Pattinson tested positive during shooting, while the new Jurassic World movie, Jurassic World: Dominion, saw production stop for two weeks after the film’s director revealed there had been a “few positive coronavirus tests” amongst the crew.

Last year Harry turned down the role of playing Prince Eric in the live-action version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Opening up about his decision, Harry revealed he wanted to focus on his music.

Harry said: “I want to put music out and focus on that for a while. But everyone involved in it was amazing. So I think it’s going to be great.”

He added: “I’ll enjoy watching it, I’m sure.”

The former One Direction star recently released Golden, his third single from his album Fine Line.

The video, filmed on the Amalfi Coast, sent fans wild after they were distracted by Harry’s ‘bulge’ in his beige shorts.

One social media user commented: “Harry Styles’ bulge bouncing in his shorts in the Golden mv… I was not prepared.”
