Harvey Weinstein to face up to 25 years in prison after being found guilty of sexual assaults
Former movie producer Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of two charges in his sexual assault trial in New York.
The 67 year old, has been found guilty of third-degree rape and a criminal sexual assault in the first degree.
But, the film producer was acquitted of the most serious charges against him in the New York trial, which were two counts of predatory sexual assault and first-degree rape.

The former film producer could have been handed at a potential life sentence if he was convicted of predatory assault – but he still faces up to 25 years in prison for the two charges he was found guilty for.
He is yet to be sentenced and has been sent to jail pending his sentencing hearing.
A jury of seven men and give women reached a verdict on Monday morning, after five days of deliberations.
Weinstein was convicted of sexually assaulting former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raping aspiring actress Jessica Mann in 2013.
Weinstein faces another trial in Los Angeles over more charges of rape and sexual assault of two women in 2013.
More than 80 women, including famous actresses, have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct in incidents dating back over decades.

Weinstein shot to fame after working on critically acclaimed films such as Pulp Fiction, The English Patient and Shakespeare in Love.
In May 2018, Weinstein was arrested in New York and charged with rape and other offences before being released on bail.
He plead not guilty to rape and sexual assault charges in the New York Supreme Court in June 2018.
His cases were at the centre of the #MeToo movement, which saw women come forward over misconduct charged against powerful men.

District attorney Mr Vance spoke about Weinstein after the guilty verdict was read out on Monday 24 February.
He said: “Harvey Weinstein is a vicious sexual predator [who has] used his power to trick, assault and humiliate his victims.
“To the survivors of Harvey Weinstein, I owe, and we all owe, an immense debt to you.”
He added: “These survivors weren’t just brave, they were heroic. Words can’t describe the sacrifices they made.”
