Katie Price says her mum Amy thinks her bum looks like a shelf after surgery

Katie Price has revealed her mum Amy thought her bum "looked like a shelf" following her full body liposuction.

The 43 year old jetted off to Turkey in mid-June to undergo a string of surgeries and went on Good Morning Britain to unveil the results, where she told Kate Garraway and Alastair Campbell she had her own fat inserted into her bottom and had eye and lip operations.

However, while the former glamour model was left pleased with the the outcome, her 69 year old mum Amy was less than impressed with her appearance and even "had a go at her".

"I thought you were going to have a go at me like my mum," Katie told 54 year old Kate as she introduced her on the ITV programme, describing her as "looking great".

Katie then told viewers: "I had full body lipo, and I had some of my own fat – I didn't have bum implants – put into my bum.

"Now my mum says, 'Oh my god, your bum looks like a shelf now, we're going to put all the glasses on there', and I'm like, 'Whatever, mum!'

"She said it sticks out and looks like a shelf and I'm like, 'Mum, it's still swollen', but, 'Oh no, it looks ridiculous'. Alright, mum."

Talking about her decision to have liposuction, the mother-of-five said that after breaking both her feet in a freak accident last year, she was left unable to run and keep fit like she used to.

Katie said: "I broke my feet last year, before that I used to go running to keep fit, ride the horses. I can never run again, it has changed my life. I was in a wheelchair for eight months, I had to learn to walk again.

"Being in a wheelchair, I put on loads of weight. For me, I'm not used to that unless I am pregnant! All I wanted to do [is run], even walking I had to go on the bike, I can't do it.

"Putting on weight, this just isn't me, I hated it. Clothes don't fit, then I took my extensions out to let myself breathe and noticed my face. You start noticing things!"

Katie, who was recently slammed for defending her trip to the red list country, insisted that she tried to eat healthy before having full body liposuction and that she wants to have a baby with her fiancé Carl Woods.

She said: "I tried healthy eating, it just wasn’t shifting. I do want a baby, people normally have surgery after they’ve had a baby.

"I’ll be getting married again and I do want more children, but the weight does make a difference."
