Lori Loughlin Is STILL Repairing Her Relationship With Daughter Olivia Jade After College Admissions Scandal
Moving forward after a massive, nationally-known controversy takes time.
So it goes for Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli right now, at least. As they await sentencing and likely at least a bit of prison time for their roles in the infamous college admissions scandal, they are intent on moving forward and repairing their relationship with daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose. But that won’t happen overnight!
An insider spoke to Us Weekly about the 55-year-old TV star’s bid to be more involved in the lives of her two girls. Upon hearing this tea, it sounds like things are still kind of touch-and-go at the family’s home base:
“Lori and Olivia Jade’s relationship has not fully healed.”
It’s going to take more time, and more work, to get the previously tight mother-daughter duo back on track, but things have been getting better since Loughlin’s looming courtroom battle was removed from the picture.
As you may recall from a report earlier this summer, a separate insider claimed Olivia Jade was “really proud” of her parents for pleading guilty and avoiding trial. By doing so, Lori and her fashion designer husband nixed what could have otherwise been a very embarrassing time for the 20-year-old YouTuber and her sister, should they have had to take the stand at any point.
For now, at least, it becomes a waiting game. The Summerland alum and her husband will be sentenced in federal court as part of their agreed-upon plea deal in exactly two weeks, on Friday, August 21. Then we’ll all learn exactly what a judge thinks about for their sentencing, which right now holds Loughlin to two months in federal prison and her embattled husband to five months. Neither deal is truly official until signed off on by federal judge Nathaniel Gorton.
In the meantime, Olivia Jade continues to attempt to re-build and re-brand herself on YouTube and across social media. It’ll be an uphill battle for her, as a second source shared with the outlet:
“Olivia has the mindset that nothing lasts forever and while she knows it will be an uphill battle, she feels much more confident than she did six months ago. knows it’s a slow rebuild and that she’ll have to start from the ground up and be weary of her choices. She knows there is still a platform there for her and she will regroup and rebuild her brand in one way or another.”
Guess we’ll see about that!
We’re hopeful the aspiring star can rebuild her relationship with her mom before anything goes down on YouTube. Family is the most important thing in life, after all, and Lori is going to need hers while going through the punishment phase of her plea deal here in the very near future!
