Love Island’s Mike and Priscilla fuel break up rumours after they unfollow each other

Love Island power couple Mike and Priscilla sparked rumours they may have broken up after the pair unfollowed one another on Instagram.
Priscilla Anyabu, 25, and Mike Boateng, 28, found love on the show during the winter edition of Love Island in 2020 and the pair have been seemingly happy together ever since.
It wasn’t until an eagle-eyed fan shared their observation that the former Islanders no longer follow each other on social media that fans began to wonder whether the pair were still together.
The user wrote: “Just realised they unfollowed each other”, which sparked concerned fans to theorise over the status of their relationship.
Another user replied: “I had a feeling they had broken up” while a third observed: “Priscilla’s last post with Mike was April 24 2021 and Mike’s last post with Priscilla was 5 March 2020 despite deleting a few of his posts with Priscilla post show.”
OK! has contacted Priscilla and Mike’s representatives for a comment.
During the show, Mike’s head was turned by two other girls in the villa before he coupled up with Priscilla; Leanne Amaning and Jess Gale.
In March, former Islander Leanne took to her YouTube channel to slam the popular ITV show, who have warned fans to "think before posting" ahead of launch, as “fake” and revealed her break up with Mike was filmed three times.
She told viewers during a Q&A: “So basically we had to redo the scene three times. The first time it was actually pretty chill, we were like we aren’t feeling it but it’s cool though, we’ll still be friends. We still sleep in the same bed it’s not that bad.
“They actually said this is bulls**t, it’s not a good enough break up. Have more vim. I was like ‘No, I’m not feeling it.’ The producers said they weren’t happy, it needed more.
“At this point I feel so awkward, like have you lot ever had a conversation more than once? It’s very awks. When I feel awkward, I laugh.”
Another fan asked whether the show, which has been slammed for it's lack of diversity, was scripted and compared the show to The Only Way Is Essex in that it is more like constructed reality.
She continued: “Love Island isn’t scripted, they’ve never handed me a script and read off this, but it’s reality TV, they want to keep it entertaining.
“They want to keep it so you guys understand what’s going on. Some scenes are set up for your entertainment. I almost feel like a disclaimer should be put up at the beginning of every episode like Towie and that. Some storylines are pushed.”
