Maggie Rogers Shares New Single Want Want From Upcoming Album

Maggie Rogers recently dropped a new single, “Want Want,” and and an accompanying music video ahead of the release of her upcoming album, Surrender.

Surrender will be released on July 29 via Capitol Records. The album is available to preorder at https://maggierogers.lnk.to/surrenderPR.

Originally written in quarantine with Del Water Gap, the song was jointly produced by Rogers, Kid Harpoon and Del Water Gap.

Rogers explains about the song’s creation in a press release, saying, “‘Want Want’ started in Maine during the pandemic in a small studio assembled over my parents’ garage. I wrote and produced it with my old bandmate, Del Water Gap. It was really just about the fun of it all. Some bubblegum world to escape to in the middle of the isolation and darkness.”

Shot in her favorite karaoke bar in New York City’s Koreatown, the video is about sensuality, embodiment and freedom, according to the singer-songwriter.
