Michelle Keegan reveals she has ‘no plans’ to have a baby with husband Mark Wright yet as she opens up on having children
Michelle Keegan has revealed she hasn’t planned to have children with Mark Wright as of yet and that her mum has been on her case to start a family.
The former Coronation Street star, who tied the knot with Mark Wright back in 2015, opened up on the possibility of having children as she’s quizzed by chat show host Jonathan Ross on Saturday’s show.
The 32-year-old said that, because she’s getting “older” she feels as if she should start a family, but has no plans to have children as her acting career skyrockets.
Speaking on the show, the actress said when asked about children: “Not yet. Everyone always asks that question. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not getting any younger.
“My mum is on it as well. No plans yet, but we definitely do want children in the future.”
The stunning star also opened up on her long-distance marriage after sometimes being forced to spend months apart from former TOWIE star Mark while filming Our Girl in Malaysia.
She said: “He got the job in LA while I was in Malaysia [filming Our Girl]. We were apart for about 4 months.
“It was really tough. People said how did you deal with it and stuff. Thank god for FaceTime and things like that. You’re on a countdown the whole time to just get home. I had six months off when I went home, so I went to America.”
She added of reuniting and whether you begin to get on each other’s nerves: “Yeah, you get so used to living on your own and doing your own thing. Little things… you like your house a certain way and he’d come in and he’d leave his underpants on the floor.
“I’m not a cleaner, I’m not going to move them, they’ll be there for five days and I don’t care, I’m not moving them.”
Michelle previously revealed her frustration over being asked about when she will get pregnant, saying it’s “no one else’s business”.
The TV star revealed how she’s constantly being bombarded on when she will have a child, saying: “People don’t know if we’re trying.”
Michelle told The Sun: “It’s horrible. It’s like, 'You’re 32. Are you not planning to have a baby yet?' People don’t know if we’re trying.
"They don’t know the background of what’s happening. It’s no one else’s business. In this day and age you shouldn’t ask questions like that."
The Our Girl star continued: "I get so frustrated. I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I'm immune to it now – it’s like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off, as it’s no one else’s business."

Mark previously revealed how it would be his dream to one day become a father as he opened up on trying for a child.
He told The Sun: “We say we’re going to try [for a baby] every year but something comes up with work.
“So it’ll be Michelle filming in South Africa and then I got the job in Los Angeles – so we think, right, we’ll try next year.
“It’ll be around December or January, we’ll talk about it and we’ll go from there.”
