Mikey North: Coronation Street’s Gary Windass reveals surprising Prince Harry comment
Mikey North, 32, reflected on an adorable moment he shared with his son Archie, who previously got slightly confused after seeing Prince Harry on TV. The Coronation Street actor addressed the situation when he opened up about family life with his wife Rachael in an interview with OK! Magazine. When quizzed about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choosing to name the royal baby Archie, the same as their little boy, Rachael gushed: “They’ve got great taste!” Mikey then admitted his son used to feel pretty connected to the Duke of Sussex, as he revealed: “When Archie was a bit younger, whenever Prince Harry came on TV, he always said: ‘There’s Daddy!’”

The soap star and Rachael are currently expecting a baby girl and admitted Archie has already picked out a name for his sister.
Mikey spilled: “We’ve just moved house and put the name on the wallpaper that Rachael has chosen.
“Archie wouldn’t let us call her anything else anyway, so he partly chose the name, but we’re keeping it a secret.”
The ITV favourite went on to admit he and his other half are not planning on expanding their family after the arrival of their daughter due to Rachael’s difficult pregnancy with their first child.
He told the publication: “I remember Rach insisting, ‘I’m not having any pain relief,’ and then about six hours in, she’s like, ‘Give me everything!’
“I would be highly surprised if we had any more. Two is a great number.”
The couple confirmed they were expecting a second baby back in May, following the birth of their son Archie two years ago.
The pair tied the knot in a spectacular winter wedding in 2016 at Curradine Barns in Worcestershire.
Elsewhere, Mikey North spoke out about some “traumatic” scenes which he found difficult to film for Coronation Street.
His character Gary Windass was recently seen getting involved in a difficult break-up on the show with Sarah Platt (played by Tina O’Brien).
Mikey credited his co-star, 35, for “turning his time around” on the ITV soap.
He said: “Tina’s really turned my time around at Corrie.
“Things were going a bit sideways for me, but when our characters got put together, I started enjoying it more than ever.”
The actor continued: “I feel like I’m stretching myself as an actor again.
“This year’s been the highlight of my time there.”
