Morgan Wallen Apologizes After Video Surfaces of Him Using Racial Slur

Morgan Wallen is coming under fire after a video surfaced of him using the N-word.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the 27-year-old country music singer uses the N-word to describe one of his drunk friends after they arrive back at his Nashville house after a night out. The video was reportedly captured by a neighbor’s doorbell camera over the weekend.

After the video surfaced, Morgan issued an apology for using the racial slur.

“I’m embarrassed and sorry,” Morgan said in a statement obtained by People. “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

Morgan is no stranger to controversy. Back in October, Morgan was disinvited from performing on Saturday Night Live after he broke COVID safety protocols by attending a crowded party in Alabama amid the ongoing pandemic.

Two months later, Morgan was invited back and performed on SNL, and even appeared in a skit mocking his partying during the pandemic.
