Nick Cannon Hosts Baby Shower for His and Brie Tiesis Child

At the apparent baby shower, the soon-to-be mom and the ‘Masked Singer’ host are seen happily announcing the gender of the unborn baby, who will be Nick’s eighth child.

AceShowbizNick Cannon may be expanding his growing brood of kids. The TV star appeared to be expecting his eighth child as he and model Brie Tiesi hosted what looked like a sex reveal party in Malibu, California on Sunday, January 30.

In some pictures obtained by TMZ, the baby shower was decorated with pink and blue balloons. They were joined by a small group of friends and family, while the soon-to-be mom looked stunning as she proudly showed off her growing baby bump in a tight, white strapless dress.

The pictures also saw the expecting model and “The Masked Singer” host, who was twinning with her in an all-white outfit, hugging and holding hands with each other. He was also snapped cradling Brie’s belly while flashing a big smile. Another photo, meanwhile, featured the guests shooting off party poppers filled with blue confetti, which meant that the baby is a boy.

The baby will be Brie’s first and Nick’s eighth. The model recently finalized her divorce from former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.

The bash arrived weeks after Nick’s 5-month-old son Zen, his seventh child whom Nick shares with model Alyssa Scott, passed away of brain cancer last December. In an interview with PEOPLE, Nick explained why he and Alyssa made the difficult decision to forgo chemotherapy to treat the baby’s illness.

Nick shared that his own experience with chemotherapy to treat his autoimmune disease lupus ultimately led them to decide against the treatment for their infant child. “We were having quality-of-life conversations,” he explained. “We could have had that existence where he would’ve had to live in the hospital, hooked up to machines, for the rest of the time. From someone who’s had to deal with chemotherapy before, I know that pain. To see that happen to a 2-month-old, I didn’t want that. I didn’t want him to suffer.”

Nick and Alyssa chose to focus on keeping little Zen “as happy as he could possibly be” instead. “We focused on Disneyland, our favorite place,” Nick said. “Every month we would celebrate his birthday, just really seeing it as a victory every time he had a milestone that he was still here with us.”

Still, Nick admitted that he still felt guilty despite doing everything he could to ease his baby’s pain. “My heart is shattered,” he said. “I wish I could have done more, spent more time with him, taken more pictures. I wish I could have hugged him longer.”

Nick is also father to twins Zillion and Zion, who were born in June 2021, and his daughter, Powerful, who was born in December 2020. He additionally shares twin children Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey and 4-year-old son Golden with Brittany Bell.
