Princess Eugenie has shared a congratulatory message for her big sister Princess Beatrice, following the announcement that she is expecting her first child.
Buckingham Palace revealed the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a picture of Princess Beatrice, 32, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38.
The new addition, who is expected to arrive this autumn, will be a younger sibling to Edoardo’s four year old son, Christopher Woolfe, from a previous relationship.
Eugenie, 31, then wasted no time in sharing her joy at her sister's pregnancy news as she posted a previously unseen snap of Beatrice and Edoardo, taken on their wedding day.
Eugenie wrote: “It’s World Bee Day!! A day to celebrate nature’s most badass little friend with their black and yellow stripes …
“But our furry little friends have to share today with my big sis Bea who’s got a little one on the way.

“Beabea and Edo huge congratulations on your news – can’t wait to meet the little one.”
In the pic, Beatrice and Edoardo, who tied the knot in July last year, can be seen on their wedding day. The second picture shows the down-to-earth couple stood by a waterfall.
Following the pregnancy announcement, Beatrice showed off her blooming baby bump when she stepped out in London.
The Queen, Beatrice's fellow Royals and Edoardo's family are all said to be “delighted with the news” which will make the Queen a great grandmother to 12 children following the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child this summer.
Beatrice's child will become eleventh in line to the throne and will not have a royal title.
The announcement comes after her sister Eugenie gave birth to her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank in February.
The Royal Family shared a statement which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital.
“Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”
The couple decided to go against the royal tradition and named their son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
