RHOC Alum Kara Keough Brings Home Newborn Son’s Ashes & Pays Tribute After His Death

We continue to think of Kara Keough during this difficult time as the former Real Housewives of Orange County star has finally brought her son McCoy‘s ashes home to rest, weeks after revealing he tragically died during childbirth.

On Monday, the 32-year-old grieving momma took to Instagram and posted a loving tribute to the infant, whom she shared with her husband Kyle Bosworth. The couple previously revealed their son had “experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord” during delivery on April 6 and sadly didn’t make it.

The starlet’s tribute post featured a beautiful bouquet of flowers surrounding a small rectangular urn, which was adorned with a small statue of a father and mother holding their baby. She wrote:

“Welcome home, baby boy ?”

So incredibly heartbreaking. Hopefully, this can begin to ease the family’s healing process with McCoy brought home to rest.

As fans know, Kara is the daughter of former RHOC housewife Jeana Keough, who was on the show from season 1 to 5. Her post was met with support from fellow Bravolebrity Vicki Gunvalson, who commented on the post with her condolences:

“Oh Kara, this breaks my heart. Been thinking about you and so proud of your strength. Peace be with you and Kyle. ?.”

The comments section was flooded with even more loving messages for the grieving parents, who are experiencing such a tragic loss right now. Keough publicly broke the devastating news last week about her son’s passing in an emotional post that read:

“On April 6th, our son McCoy Casey Bosworth was born at 3:10am. Weighing in at 11 pounds and 4 ounces and spanning 21 inches, McCoy surprised us all with his size and strength (and overall perfection). During the course of his birth, he experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord. He joined our Heavenly Father and will live forever in the hearts of his loving parents, his adoring sister, and those that received his life-saving gifts.”

She revealed her family’s decision to donate McCoy’s tissue and organs to help other children, adding:

“Tonight, we join together to honor this little savior’s gifts of life. Through him, may others find new hope and profound healing… and may he live again through them. May his legacy shine in the form of lifetimes aplenty – lives filled with laughter, compassion, energy, love, and most of all gratitude. May it be said that McCoy Casey Bosworth left this world in a better place, for a better place…. that he made an impact… that he was an answered prayer… that he was a hero.”

I wrote this for the organ/tissue procurement team to read out in his honor: “Tonight, we join together to honor this little savior’s gifts of life. May his legacy shine in the form of lifetimes aplenty – lives filled with laughter, compassion, energy, love, and most of all gratitude. Thank you, McCoy.” ——————————————— And Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:20 Until we see you again… We love you, McCoy.

Although McCoy’s life was cut short far too soon, we know his family and their selfless donation will continue to keep his sweet memory alive. He is survived by parents Kara and Kyle and their 4-year-old daughter Kate.
