Shaughna Phillips confirms she’s had liposuction after being diagnosed with chronic condition following mystery surgery posts

Shaughna Phillips has confirmed she has had liposuction on her lower legs after teasing she had undergone mystery surgery.
The 26 year old took to social media earlier this week to announce she had a procedure done on her legs, but kept tight-lipped about what exactly the surgery was.
Love Island star Shaughna has now opened up on what happened under the knife as she explained she has been diagnosed with lipoedema.
According to the NHS, lipoedema is a chronic condition where there's an abnormal build-up of fat cells in the legs, thighs and buttocks, and sometimes in the arms.

After being left insecure by her pins, Shaughna decided to act on the condition and have liposuction on the affected areas.
She told her 1.5million Instagram followers: "So just because I've seen so many questions on my In The Style Q&A about what surgery I've had, I just thought I'd let you all know because I'm not going to hide anything and I was going to tell you all anyway.
"I have had liposuction on my lower legs, so my calves, because I was recently diagnosed with lipoedema, once I'd come out of the villa.
"I've kind of always had an insecurity about my legs, but there were so many questions about if I'd ever been diagnosed with lipoedema, and I didn't even know what it was," she confessed.
The Celebs Go Virtual Dating star continued: "So after some research and going to the doctors, I was finally diagnosed and then had my surgery on Wednesday.
"I'm recovering, I'm doing really well. I've got make-up on today, I've brushed my hair today and, yeah, I'm just really looking forward to kind of the process of it.

"It's not an overnight thing, I have to keep up with my compression garments and things like that, but so far so good."
Shaughna teased the result of her then-mystery surgery shortly after waking up from the procedure.
Confirming that the surgery was on her legs, she then shared an image of her pins wrapped in bandages with some bleeding visible from underneath.

Later, she returned to the social media platform to share a video of herself struggling to walk along what appears to be a hotel corridor.
In her all white outfit, she told fans: "Yayyyy I survived! This is me trying to walk and pretend I don't feel like I've just been hit by a bus.
"I've had a procedure done that I'm gonna keep you all updated with my progress. This isn't a collab/gifted/ad anything like that!
"So you will get the full unedited truth," she continued to assure her large following.
