Sir Patrick Stewart Teases ‘Star Trek: Picard’ on ‘Kimmel’: ‘It’s A Changed World’!
Sir Patrick Stewart stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tusday night (November 12) and teased a bit of what we can expect from his upcoming series, Star Trek: Picard!
The 79-year-old actor is reprising his role as the iconic Jean-Luc Picard in the new CBS All Access series, which will follow him into the next chapter of his life.
“18 years have passed since the next generation crew were on camera, which was our last film Nemesis. The world has changed in 18 years – the world of the federation and Starfleet has changed. Patrick Stewart has changed because he was a lot older than he was when we last at Paramount making the series,” Patrick told Jimmy. “This means that what we have is something different, something new. I hope there isn’t too much disappointment that there isn’t an enterprise or the crew. It’s a changed world and we find Picard. He’s at home at the Picard vineyard with his pitbull. I’ve seen the first five episodes and I think they’re marvelous.”
Sir Patrick also talked about being in the same restaurant as Sir Paul McCartney & Sir Ringo Starr, his love of Las Vegas, being in the new Charlie’s Angels movie, and he explains why he wants Jimmy to come do shows in the UK.
