Strictly star Anton Du Beke’s three year old son George rushed to hospital for operation

Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke revealed his three year old son George had to be taken to hospital for an operation.

Anton, 53, announced his son’s health news as he apologised to fans for being unable to host his online dance fitness class.

He tweeted: “So sorry my loves, I won’t be able to take today’s classes as little George has had an operation and a short stay in hospital – but don’t worry, he’s all ok now!

“A huge thank you to all the brilliant @NHS Doctors & Nurses for looking after us – you’re all simply amazing. Anton XX.”

Anton’s fans were quick to send their well-wishes to the family as one person wrote: “Wishing him a speedy recovery."

Another commented: "Hope George is ok sending love”, while a third said: "Lots of love and hugs."

Anton and his wife Hannah Summers welcomed twins George and Henriette in 2017.

Anton has been hosting his Fit at 50 workouts each day during lockdown and has sometimes been joined by his two children for the videos.

As he appeared on The One Show in March, the professional dancer revealed he is enjoying having extra time during lockdown to spend with his kids.
