Katya Jones, 33, has been on Strictly Come Dancing since 2016 and addressed being a show judge some day. However, in a recent podcast, the professional dancer defended Craig Revel Horwood’s scoring technique after he came under fire for his “unnecessary and cruel” comments about Tyler West on the BBC dance show.
You want to give the correct feedback!

Katya spoke to Tim Lovejoy on his The Lovejoy Hour podcast back in September, when the current series of Strictly was due to start.
Tim asked Katya why the BBC show was so successful and spoke of his love for Craig and his “honest” way of judging the show.
He said: “That’s why I think Craig [Revel Horwood] is so important for the show, as while everyone else will give 10s, he will go ‘eight’ because you missed a step.
“Which I think is more important as it’s how you’re judged, you need that integrity.”
Katya interrupted: “One hundred per cent! I think that’s the type of judge I would be honest with. You know I might one day, you might see myself in this position.
“This is how I would like to be. As encouraging as you want to be if you want to give the correct feedback.
“As professionals, for example, we get off from Shirley saying that heel turn was perfect because I know we spent hours teaching them to put their bloody heels together.
“So if Shirley or Craig notice it it’s like honey on my heart. Like I said if I was to be in their position that’s how I would be. I would definitely give praise to the things they’ve worked on because it makes it worth it.”
Katya’s defence of Craig comes amid the recent criticism he has received for his “cruel” remarks directed at radio presenter Tyler and his dance partner Dianne Buswell.
Before Tyler was voted out on last week’s show, the Strictly judge praised Will Mellor’s performance and his excellent hip movements, while using the opportunity to take a swipe at Tyler.
Craig remarked: ” I think you need to teach Tyler a thing or two about that.”
Many social media users rushed to Twitter to defend the radio presenter and share their anger over Craig’s subtle dig.
Houjousatoko_ said: “That comment was so cruel. Craig, there was no need at all? #Strictly.”
DrrewRya added: “What’s Craig’s issue with Tyler? Very inappropriate dig from Craig #strictly.”
AliceBradshawx admitted: “Can I just say before I keep voting for Tyler and Dianne that people will say we are overreacting but that comment from Craig was beyond rude and disrespectful.
“He basically just took a dig at Tyler but also Dianne’s teaching by saying another celeb could teach him a few things!”
Katya was partnered with Arsenal legend Tony Adams on Strictly this year, with the pair going down a storm on the dancing show.
When the pair left the show, Katya shared her happiness for being partnered with the joker, as she penned: “I’ll be forever grateful that I was partnered with you.
“Do you know what I love? I loved us and I loved that we didn’t care what anyone thought, we did every routine our way…”
Then an excitable Tony interjected to praise her “genius” choreography, something that Katya jokingly pulled him up on.
