‘Tan Mom’ to make first public appearance at boxing event after coma
“Tan Mom” is making her triumphant return.
Patricia Krentcil is set to make her first public appearance since entering a medically induced coma in June. The 51-year-old will perform with singing partner Adam Barta at Damon Feldman’s Celebrity Boxing event in Fort Lauderdale in November.
She’ll be performing her single, “Free 2 Be Me.”
The headline-making songstress won’t be wearing boxing gloves but promises attendees “a treat in the ring that will steal the show,” she said in a statement.
In June, Krentcil was hospitalized for pneumonia but when doctors couldn’t drain all of the water from her lungs given their weak state, which was a result of her smoking addiction, she entered cardiac arrest. They then put her in a coma but ultimately was revived.
“I had a breakdown in my body. My whole system just collapsed,” explained Krentcil, who was arrested and charged with child endangerment in 2012 after allegedly bringing her then-5-year-old daughter, Anna, into a tanning bed in Nutley, NJ.
She served a week in jail but a grand jury declined to indict her. She’s since relocated to Florida.
