The 1975’s Matty Healy Teases Collaboration With Charli XCX
The 1975 lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matty Healy recently teased an upcoming collaboration with Charli XCX.
“Sent her a beat at like 5pm yesterday and woke up this morning to a HIT,” Healy wrote on Twitter. “A MONSTER TUNE!! I’m prolific but she’s on some s**t.”
Responding to a fan’s question if The 1975 would be featured on the song, Healy said, “Not sure yet but me and Rome and George produced.”
Healy was referring to the band No Rome, who are signed to their record label Dirty Hit, and his bandmate George Daniel.
Healy praised the English singer-songwriter by calling her a “f—ing force.”
Big things are in the cards for Charli XCX in September. Her latest album Charli, a follow-up to 2014’s Sucker, is set to released on September 13.
That will be followed by the U.S. leg of a tour in support of the album.
