The Surveillance Video of A$AP Rocky's Bodyguard Choking the Alleged Victim Is So Alarming

After weeks of being detained in Sweden, A$AP Rocky has finally gone to trial for his alleged involvement in a street fight. A$AP was charged with assaulting 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari, and on July 30 Mustafa shared his side of the story and new surveillance footage of the altercation was released, and it is so scary.

Prior to the trial, A$AP had posted videos of the incident on his Instagram page. In the clips, it looked like some passersby, who A$AP called “drug addicts,” were following and harassing A$AP and his friends. A$AP said the guys were slapping girls butts, and the video showed them throwing a pair of headphones at A$AP’s bodyguard, Tee.

There was also another video that circulated on Twitter that showed a group of guys many presumed to be A$AP and his friends (you can’t see their faces, so it’s hard to tell), throwing Mustafa on the ground and beating him up.

can’t get over the way asap rocky yeeted this dude 10ft because he was harassing women (and stalking him even tho he told him multiple times to stop) we love a king pic.twitter.com/PXb4fDp7WF

Mustafa’s version of events is much different. On Tuesday, he told the court that he ran into A$AP after he was separated from his friends. He then asked the rapper if he had seen his friends, which allegedly didn’t go over very well with Tee. Mustafa claimed Tee told him to go away and pushed him. Mustafa said, “If someone says in a nice way, ‘Go away from here,’ then you do. But he just pushed me. What he did was wrong.”

Then, Mustafa alleged Tee grabbed his throat, lifted him up, and carried him away from everyone else, all while choking him. Mustafa said he broke his headphones in the process, which is why he was following A$AP in the other videos. (A$AP’s lawyer said Mustafa broke his own headphones when he tried to punch Tee, for what it’s worth.)

Fair warning: The just-released video surveillance of this part of the fight is insane.

The teenager also alleged that after the headphones were broken, someone smashed a bottle on his head, though that was also disputed by A$AP’s lawyer.

All that said, Tee wasn’t charged with anything and A$AP, who will testify tomorrow, was charged with assault. Mustafa is asking for $16,000 for injuries and lost income, and a verdict will likely be reached on Friday.

In the meantime, Donald Trump has sent a hostage crisis envoy to sit in on the trial.
