Tommy Fury’s ex toasts him and Molly-Mae missing out on Love Island prize

Tommy Fury's ex-girlfriend chugged champagne and grinned as he and new beau Molly-Mae Hague came second in the Love Island final.

Millie Roberts, who was dating the boxer for two years up until he left for the villa in May 2019, pretended to make a toast on her Instagram at the same time the winners – Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea were being announced.

The 22-year-old ex filmed herself downing a glass of bubbly then smiling broadly at the camera, in what many are seeing as a jubilant celebration after Tommy and Molly missed out on the £50,000 cash prize.

Millie had previously warned Molly that Tommy is "not as he seems" and branded him "controlling".

She gave an interview describing Tommy, 20, as jealous, and insisted he's almost certainly going to cheat on Molly-Mae.

Millie later declared she stood by her statements, and insisted she hopes her words act as a warning not to believe in the persona Tommy is putting across on TV.

"He's really controlling," she told the Sun.

"Whenever I would go out and if I wasn't home by midnight he would text me 'We're done,' 'It's over, on my mum's life' 'you dirty cheat, you f***ing slipped up', 'I want nothing to do with you'…

"He's aggressive in how he talks to people," she added.

Millie claimed Tommy became "nasty and horrible" because she was wearing a bikini, and allegedly called her a “f**king scruff from Salford".

When she was met with backlash for her remarks, Millie took to Instagram to defend herself.

"To the people who say I am a liar," she wrote.

"TBH I was a liar back then [when I was with Tommy] not only to my friends and family but to everyone else about a relationship that I pretended was perfect…

"I hope the message from this is that nobody deserves to be treated like that and I wish I had been more honest with myself back then.

"Young girls watching Love Island might be tempted to believe that people are perfect but there are two sides to every story and things are always what they seem," she added.

Meanwhile, Tommy has declared that he and Molly-Mae are "madly in love" as they broke their silence after missing out on first place.

"Hi everyone, we just wanted to say thank you so much for voting for us over the last eight weeks," Molly said in a joint Instagram video from the villa.

Giving his girlfriend an adoring look, Tommy added: "Thank you very, very much its an absolute crazy feeling because we're leaving Love Island madly in love and I can't wait to take this outside now."

Molly then made Elly-Belly wave his trunk at the camera before the pair signed off.
