Tori Kelly Rings In The Holidays With Drive In Christmas Concert

Tori Kelly hits the stage for a very special concert held at City National Grove in Anaheim, Calif., on Tuesday night (December 22).

The 28-year-old singer, who was unmasked on the most recent season of The Masked Singer, performed a handful of her songs from her new album, A Tori Kelly Christmas.

The OC Register revealed that she covered “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Joy to the World/Joyful, Joyful” and, “Christmas Time Is Here.”

Plus, Tori also performed her new original Christmas songs, “Kid Again On Christmas” and “25th”.

Tori did have a surprise in store for the socially distanced car crowd too – Babyface, who produced the album.

The 61-year-old musician joined Tori on stage for some special performances of “Let It Snow,” “Go Tell It On the Mountain” and a little bit of his song “Every Time I Close My Eyes”.

“When I decided to actually do a Christmas album this year, I knew that I should bring in a producer to help me oversee it and just really bring it to life,” Tori recently shared with Billboard. “And I came across Babyface’s own Christmas album [1998’s Christmas with Babyface] that he put out a while ago. A lightbulb just went off, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what if he produced my album? Like, that would be so insane.’ I thought it was a long shot, honestly. I did not think he would be down, or even, like, have the time to do it.”

She adds about their collab on “Let it Snow”: “That was really cool of him to also lend his amazing, smooth vocals on that track. ‘Cause every time it comes on, his voice is so buttery and warm. I think it adds such a nice touch…it’s like the bow of the present, like a nice little bow on the album.”
