Why Finn Wolfhard Is Private About His Rumored Relationship Status

With the release of “Strenger Things” season four, viewers are eagerly waiting to see what show creators have in store for Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) relationship. Although the characters on the show do have chemistry, the actors themselves remain close friends. In fact, both co-stars are in serious relationships. While Brown and her beau recently made their red carpet debut, Wolfhard and his alleged girlfriend have decided to keep their relationship offline. Naturally, “Stranger Things” die-hards want to know, who is Wolfhard’s rumored mystery girl?

According to PopBuzz, Wolfhard is allegedly dating fellow actress Elsie Richter, who’s notably known for her reoccurring role as April on HBO’s “Doll & Em.” It’s unknown when the “It” actor and Richter first connected, or what they’ve been up to, as both stars prefer to keep their personal lives off social media. However, the outlet reported that the rumored couple has been photographed spending quality time together since March 2021.

The only peek fans have gotten into their rumored romance was in Woflhard’s 2021 interview with The Washington Post. At the beginning of their alleged relationship, Ritcher would share snapshots of Wolfhard to her Instagram Story. This sent Wolfhard fans into a tizzy trying to uncover facts and details about the couple’s status and and presumed relationship. Wolfhard revealed it got so bad that he was blackmailed into confirming he was in a relationship because a fan threatened to leak Ritcher’s address if he didn’t do so.

“They’re like, ‘Oh, okay, I’m so sorry. We love her, '” he told The Washington Post. “It all fades literally once you’re like, ‘Hey, calm down. It’s cool. I’m a real person.’ It’s almost like a trance or something. Maybe it’s a power thing.”

While Wolfhard didn’t refer to Richter by name, it was speculated that he was talking about her given Richter’s recent Instagram activity at the time. It’s also unclear how and in what manner Wolfhard confirmed the relationship to his fans. But as a result, Wolfhard now only uses his social media for promoting his work. He’s also no longer featured on Richter’s Instagram.
