Xena: Warrior Princess had a huge following when the programme aired in the late 1990s. Lucy Lawless played the title role during the American show’s six-year run.
The actress, who is now 53, became a poster pin-up for fans during that period, partly due to Xena’s incredible costumes.
The iconic character was often seen in her signature battle-gear.
The fantasy series, which was set in Ancient Greece, was actually filmed in New Zealand, where the actress was born.
And now, 20 years after the series ended, Lucy looks remarkably different from her warrior days.
In fact, she swapped her famous outfit for a comfy onesie in her latest social media update.
The actress snapped a selfie in what appeared to be a reindeer outfit, as she tried to warm up by the fire.
Her dog could be seen relaxing in the background of the snap.
Lucy, who now sports blonde locks, pulled an animated face for the picture.
Alongside the image, she spoke of her delight at bringing out the gift from a pal.
She tweeted in view of her 312,700 followers: “Renee O’Connor sent me this ridic onesie for my birthday and it is so freakishly cold that I’m wearing it as pajamas down the farm.
“Best Jimjams eva (as long as I don’t sit too close to the fire.) Thanks, Ren!”(sic)
American actress Renee, 50, also starred in the 1990s hit show.
