Gucci's New Ultrapace R Is Rendered With Bold Hi-Tech Details

Seen in its Spring/Summer 2020 preview last December, Gucci‘s Ultrapace R is a brand new iteration of its previous-season Ultrapace — moving towards a direction that’s more hi-tech as opposed to its former vintage-inspired look. The Italian luxury house has given the new silhouette a bright yellow colorway.

One of the biggest updates to the silhouette is a wheel lacing system that’s replaced traditional laces. The dial is placed at the top of the tongue, over a shiny metallic panel, allowing the wearer to adjust the fit to one that’s consistent and even. Light yellow padding appears along the upper collars, complemented by smooth white rubber overlays that cover the forefoot. Other details like “GG” branding at the rear quarter, black mesh along the body and a sleek, articulated triple-layered midsole round off the sneaker’s technical design.

Gucci’s Ultrapace R in yellow is currently available on LN-CC’s website for $1,078 USD.
