I bought Amazon returns parcels from a car boot sale instead of Christmas crackers – the gifts were better and cheaper | The Sun
WITH Christmas less than a week away, if you are still yet to buy your festive crackers for the table, you’ll want to check this out.
They’re something that many of us buy – but have you ever actually had a December 25th without Christmas crackers that leave you and your loved ones rolling your eyes?
With awful jokes and tat that many of us will throw away minutes later, one savvy woman came up with a better (and cheaper) idea.
Instead of spending money on Christmas crackers, Becky Chorlton, thrifter and owner of ‘Becky’s Bazaar’ – a second-hand business reselling vintage garments, decided to buy Amazon returns parcels from a car boot sale for her family.
Becky, who last year bought her festive feast from a boot sale, recently enjoyed a Christmas dinner with her loved ones and took to social media to show off the gifts inside her cheap parcels.
She said: “I bought Amazon returns mystery parcels instead of crackers for Christmas dinner and here’s how it went.”

Tony went next and was left slightly baffled with what Becky described as “some sort of recorder.”
Following this was John, who was given some festive cheer with his new “cat motion toy.”
