IF you have stubborn moss on your driveway that just won’t shift – fear not, you’ve come to the right place.
Moss on a driveway is normal but it can look pretty grim and untidy if uncared-for.
Luckily, an expert has shared a household item that gets to work like "magic" on driveway moss in 15 minutes.
Daniel Scholfield, director of The Expert Gate Company shared his simple but effective tips for banishing moss, so you’ll want to listen up and take notes if your driveway is looking a bit green.
Daniel claimed that using bleach is the best way to “kill moss on your driveway”, but it needs to be used at the right ratio.
He said: “Any brand of bleach will work to kill moss on your driveway, but it needs to be diluted with water first.

“This is to prevent any discolouration on your driveway, allowing it to keep its original colour and preventing random stains.
“A ratio of five tablespoons of bleach to a gallon of water (roughly 3.7litres) is practical for most cleaning uses of bleach, including on your driveway.”
If you want to give this a try, you should mix the solution in a bucket and then fill a spray bottle for easy distribution.
Once the bottle is filled, spray the areas of the driveway that have been affected by moss.

Make sure to evenly distribute the “moss killer solution” across all of the affected areas, to ensure that the solution will be “most effective”.
Daniel instructed: “Leave the bleach solution to soak on your driveway for around 15 minutes, giving the moss killer time to work its magic.”
Not only is bleach effective at getting the job done, but it is also cost-effective too.
If you haven’t got a bottle in your cupboard already, you can pick one up from Tesco and Asda for just 60p.
But do make sure not to leave the solution on for too long though, as this may result in your driveway becoming stained.
When it’s been 15 minutes, remove the bleach from treated areas using warm water and go over the area a few times to ensure that there is no bleach left behind.
Daniel warned: “If you miss any spots, this could negatively affect your driveway by causing discolouration, so take care with this step.”
Once the bleach is rinsed away, wait for a few hours for the solution to keep working.
An indication that moss is dead is if it has turned a yellow colour.
Once this happens, you can then move on to the next step, where you can finally remove the dead moss from their driveway.
Use a stiff, hard-bristled brush to scrub all of the dead moss from your driveway.

While it might take some elbow grease, Daniel guaranteed that the “results are well worth it”.
He said: “With all of the moss removed, you’ll be left with a perfectly cleaned driveway that’ll look as good as new.”
