WITH the first day of summer just days away, plenty of women are updating their closets for warmer weather.
But one popular TikTok fashionista says some of the biggest trends of years past are now out – and there are newer ones to fill your wardrobes with instead.
Paige Lorentzon shared a video highlighting the best and worst things to wear between June and August this year.
Mini bags have no place in your closet this summer, she says.
She explains that the popularity of mini bags is definitely coming to an end.
Although beaded accessories were super popular last summer, she insists that this year they simply shouldn’t be added to your outfits.
Paige includes a picture of Gigi Hadid rocking tons of chunky beaded jewelry as an example.
Instead of following that outdated trend, Paige suggests opting for simple gold and silver jewelry pieces in layers.
Meanwhile, there are several other fashion trends that Paige thinks are fresh and modern for this summer.
She says wearing platform shoes is totally approved this summer season.

The two colors people should spend the most time wearing are pink and orange.
Cargo pants are another fashion trend to keep up with, she says, as well as shield sunglasses.
Anyone trying to pull their hair away from their face in the heat can rely on claw clips, she adds.
Paige also says oversized tote bags are the perfect accessory for a beach day.
