My fiancé took me to Dubai and proposed… then ghosted me a few weeks before the wedding – I still don’t know why
GETTING ghosted is never fun, but getting ghosted by your fiancé is a whole other ball game.
A beautician from Dallas, Texas has taken to TikTok to share her story about what happened when her fiancé ghosted her, just weeks before their wedding day.
Artrice, a beautician who specialises in permanent makeup claimed her ex-fiancé took her to Dubai to propose.
One day they were talking on the phone about how much they loved each other and how excited they were about their big day.
But then the next day, Artrice claimed that she didn’t hear from him.
And still to this day, she claims that she has not heard from him. He completely ghosted her and vanished out of thin air.
Artrice explained: “Last year, my fiance ghosted me a few weeks before our wedding.
“After flying me to Dubai to propose, I was devastated and confused.

In another video, Artrice answered some common questions that she gets about her fiancé ghosting her.
She said: “The main question I got is why won’t I show his face. I don’t feel the need to show his face.
“This wasn’t about him at all, this was about me overcoming a difficult time in my life and pouring all that energy into my business.
“Is he dead? Have I talked to his family? Of course I've tried reaching out to his family.
“One day we were on the phone talking about how much we loved each other and that we couldn’t wait to get married and the next day I couldn’t get ahold of him.
“I couldn’t tell you why he ghosted me, I have no idea.”
TikTok users continued to flood in with questions for Artrice, and one asked if her ex-fiance was alive.
Artrice added: “Yes he’s alive from what I know. I was frantically calling friends and family of his, everyone was giving me the run around so obviously they were protecting him and obviously he had other things going on, so that’s that.”
Another TikToker asked Artrice if she has gotten closure on the situation.
She claimed: “I never found out why, I haven't gotten any closure, again, I don’t speak to him. He literally ghosted me, so I have no idea.”
Artrice has racked up over 2million views on her videos about her ex-fiancé and many TikTokers took to the comments to share their sympathy and support for her.
One person said: “I don’t get how someone can just do this??” to which Artrice replied “Neither do I”.
Another added: “You dodged a bullet with him. One day, you will find the man of your dreams!”
A third commented: ““I'm so sorry this happened to you. You are a gorgeous woman, don't ever doubt yourself.. it takes time to heal …hugs.”
