My husband and I made our own pool in the garden using a shipping container – it's SO good | The Sun

WITH SUMMER well and truly here, people everywhere are getting their gardens into shape to enjoy the sunshine.

While many have invested in new furniture and cleaned up their patios, one couple took it a step further by building their very own swimming pool out of a shipping container.

Documenting the process on her social media account, Ashley posted a clip of a man cutting the top of a shipping container off before using an excavator to dig up the soil in the garden.

They then placed the shipping container into the giant hole they had created and added concrete to the bottom.

“Hubby’s making me a pool,” she wrote in the caption alongside a red heart emoji. “We’ve done all the work ourselves so worth it though!”

The next step in their process was painting the container in a bright white colour, which they did in no time.

“What you’ve all been waiting for!!” she wrote in the caption.
