Sassy woman uses hilarious Love Island prank to get boyfriend's attention after ignoring her messages

ONE woman went to hilarious lengths after being frustrated at her boyfriend for not replying to her text messages after a fall out. 

Lily Jade Straw, 19, from Doncaster, decided to prank her partner by telling him she was going on the new series of Love Island. 

She wrote: “Just to let u know I've been asked to go on Love Island and I've decided to go take the opportunity.

"I wanted to tell u today but after Saturday I won't be able to talk to u as I'm going into lockdown."

She added: "It was nice knowing you."

The best part of the prank is that her boyfriend completely fell for the gag, and tried to speak to her as he received the messages.  

He texted back: “Answer the phone now.”

Amused Lily screenshotted the funny incident and put it on Twitter, with the caption: “When ur boyfriend doesn’t reply for a while drastic actions are the only option."

Clearly the joke text entertained social media users, and quickly racked up 16,000 likes. 

One person said: “Hahahahah that’s so funny”, with another adding: “Why did I not think of this?!"

Love Island 2020 is currently underway, and is ITV2’s first winter version of the hit reality show.
