Woman praised for ‘genius’ washing line hack which doubles the amount you can dry – and banishes ironing too

NOW the weather is warmer, we can actually hang our washing outside to dry – and one mum has come up with an incredible space-saving hack.

In order to fit her entire family’s washing on the line, she showed how using hangers can help the process. 

Writing in Facebook group, Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas, user Lauren Mottershed wrote: "Ran out of room on the washing line, put the shirts on hangers".

Why didn’t we think of this before?

She shared a photo of shirts stacked sideways on hangers, so they didn’t take up a large space on the line. 

Many people were highly impressed with her tip and her post has racked up 1,700 likes and over 300 comments.

One said: "This is a game changer lol.”

Meanwhile another wrote: "Such a good idea! Can't believe I'm 41 and only just discovered this".

A third said: "Sorry but this is genius.”
