Your Best Fashion Color Palette If Youre A Taurus
If you are a Taurus, you might be frustrated by some of the more simplistic horoscope descriptions since they tend to depict the bull as being not the most glamorous of signs. You’re probably tired of reading about how stubborn you are, how lazy, how boring … You do know that none of these things are true, don’t you? Of course you do. It’s true that Taureans are pretty down to earth, and that means you’ve got the ability to cut through all the bull, so to speak.
While most descriptions of Taurus seem to focus on the more bull-like aspects, such as being strong-willed and having a hearty appetite (nothing wrong with that!), they forget the fun, flirty nature that comes from Taurus’ ruling planet. Venus, named for the goddess of love and beauty, endows Taureans with an appreciation for the finer things in life, and yes, that does include a passion for fashion. Just think of some of the most well-dressed celebrity Tauruses, like Jessica Alba and Lizzo! While Taurus may be an earth sign, this does not mean that a drab color palette is in your stars!
These are a Taurus' best colors
One of the best -– if not the best –- color for Taurus to wear may come as a bit of a surprise. Believe it or not, it’s pink! Now Let’s Get Going explained that a fun, bubbly pink will help add some zip to that good ol’ reliable Taurus image, while Love to Know said that pink brings Taurus good luck. Another color that Taurus should definitely seek out is green, which is the sign’s second most important power color next to pink. Emeralds are the birthstone for the month of May, which overlaps with most Taurus birthdates. What’s more, both emerald and forest greens are associated with growth, be it of plants (beloved of this spring-born sign) or of money (beloved of almost everybody). Black and white also work for Taurus, since they speak to the sign’s practicality. Not to mention, there’s no building a wardrobe without either shade, so sensible Taurus wouldn’t even try!
There are a few colors that Taurus is advised to avoid, chief among them being red. Yes, technically pink is in the red color family, and Taurus can extend those red-derived shades as far as maroon, but a true red is a big no-no. You know what they say about red flags and bulls, after all, and it seems red has a tendency to point up some of those less-desirable Taurus traits like, well, bull-headedness. Another color Taurus is advised to avoid is eggplant, although lighter purple hues like lavender and lilac should be ok.
Taurus can mix and match colors within these palettes
While it can be fun to adopt one signature color, Love to Know suggested that Taureans might enjoy working with a selection of several different color palettes. They said that the ideal palette revolves around a group of three colors that work well together, and the ones they suggest for Taurus are as follows. Option one: black, white and pink. Option two: green, pink and white. Option three: pink, black and green. And option four: white, black and green.
So how can you use these palettes to design your wardrobe? Choose one or several or even all of them and then build outfits around them. A black skirt with a pink blouse and a green accent necklace or scarf, perhaps? Or how about a cute pink skirt with a black-and-white striped top? Maybe a green-and-black plaid jacket worn over a white t-shirt? There’s so much you can do with these color combos to channel that Taurus energy while looking amazing!
Dress your house up in Taurus colors, too
Houses themselves don’t really have star signs, because how many people know the exact date their home was completed? We prefer to see your home as an extension of you, though. In that case, if you’re a Taurus, your home is, too. What that means is, look to your Taurus power colors when you’re designing your living space, as well. While painting your walls black isn’t really advisable (too dark!), pink and lighter shades of green work well, or you could do pink, green, or black accents with white walls. Green also makes for a soothing carpet color as it gives your home that “outdoors/indoors” feel.
Even if you can’t go so far as to redo your paint scheme or carpeting, try to incorporate some small touches from your Taurus color palette. Pink and green-flowered sheets would be restful, and pink and green throw pillows are a cheap and cheerful touch. Pink flowers and fresh green plants (or nice silk ones, should you be “blessed” with a brown thumb) would make for a lovely accent for any room. Love to Know even suggested you carry out the color scheme so far as to use black, white, and/or pink planters for all that greenery.
