Use holly to protect against evil spirits and always burn your Christmas tree
US-based content creator Tatiana took to TikTok to share an abundance of superstitions with her 1.4 million followers.
Speaking directly to camera, she began: ‘These are a list of Christmas superstitions.
‘Number one, leaving a Christmas tree without any type of ornaments or decorations will attract evil spirits and negative energy.
‘Going along with that, as pretty as it looks to have your tree visible from the outside of your house, this is actually considered extremely bad luck.
‘You never want anyone from outside to be able to look into your window and see the tree that you have inside of your house.
‘This is going to cause a lot of financial problems.’
She continued: ‘Number two, holly can be used as protection against witches and dark magic. It is customary for people to purchase this and bring it into their homes around Christmas time.
‘Number three, never under any circumstances, should you give shoes around Christmas time.

In a follow-up video, she continued: ‘This is another list of Christmas superstitions.
‘Number one, it is said that a Christmas tree should always be burned once your time with it is done within the home.

‘Number two, it is believed that a candle lit on Christmas Eve should be left burning all the way until Christmas Day.
‘Those who choose to blow it out or the candle just randomly goes out during the night, this is considered a very bad omen for the household.
‘Should the candle happen to stay on until it completely burns to the very end, good luck will be bestowed for everyone in the household.’
She added a caveat to be safe with unattended candles before concluding with her final superstition.
‘It is believed that if a woman happens to crack an egg on Christmas Eve with two yolks inside it, this means that she will have twins within the next upcoming year,’ Tatiana said.
